Your Guide to Injectables

Fillers Aurora, COThere is a very good chance you have heard of Botox. We are also fairly certain that you have heard the term “dermal fillers.” These two types of product are often used side by side in conversations, and also in marketing. For that reason, they may seem interchangeable. The line between the various injectable treatments that are popular today is so blurred that you may have no clue where to start your journey toward a younger version of yourself. We’re here to help.

We offer a variety of cosmetic treatments, including injectables and laser treatments, in our Aurora office. Where patients can see the magic of innovative aesthetic solutions, though, is in our expert use of these treatments. Botox and other neuromodulators, as well as dermal fillers, can achieve outstanding results when performed with meticulous technique. We will explain the difference between Botox and fillers, but first, we want to invite you to schedule a consultation with one of our experienced injectors. This is the best way to know how would want to proceed when the time is right for you.

Neuromodulators

We offer both Botox and Dysport. Each of these products is classified as a neuromodulator due to the mechanism of action in superficial muscles. A neuromodulator reduces the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, those caused by facial movements. So, we may use Botox to smooth away frown lines or horizontal lines on the forehead. The way that this type of product works is by inhibiting neurotransmission. The brain sends messages to a muscle to contract, but the nerve fibers of that muscle do not receive the transmission, and the muscle remains smooth. The effects of Botox or Dysport treatment is not permanent and will not prevent movement; it will just reduce it for a few months.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers do what the name suggests: they fill in lines and creases. Even more than that, today’s dermal fillers, like Juvederm Voluma, are also capable of enhancing the appearance of volume. Volume is a filler commonly used to add volume to the cheeks. Other filler products are made with a lighter consistency to fill out the contours of the lips or to reduce lines around the nose and mouth.

The guide to injectables doesn’t need to be complicated. When you consult with us, you will have a grasp on what is needed to achieve your desired outcome. Call 720-280-7016 to reach our office near Denver.
